Though Marvel’s Loki has delivered a great second season so far, it’s almost over! The highly anticipated finale will be released on Disney+ this week, but we don’t yet know if it’s the last we’ll see of the erstwhile God of Mischief. There has certainly been no talk of a season three in the works, and the creative minds behind the show have indicated that season two will have a pretty conclusive ending.

That being said, this season’s story has opened up a wealth of possibilities for Loki in the future. It began where we left off in the season one finale, with Loki “time-slipping” into the past, present, and future of the TVA. Along the way, he made a new friend called OB, and solidified his friendships with people like Mobius, Casey, and Hunter B-15.

The group have been trying to stop He Who Remains’ temporal loom from melting down all season. After Sylvie killed He Who Remains and kickstarted the multiverse again at the end of season one, this machine at the heart of the TVA struggled to weave all the new branched timelines and keep them alive. Not only that, TVA loyalists believed that the loom wasn’t ever meant to keep them alive, and embarked on a mission to bomb them all.
